My son / daughter is interested in joining 122 ACU, where do I go from here?

122 ACU has 2 x recruiting intakes per year. The first intake occurs at the start of semester 1 and the 2nd intake occurs at the beginning of semester 2 each year. 

Before a student can join cadets, at least 1 x parent / guardian and the student/s wishing to join the unit must attend an information session.  This is to ensure that parents and student/s have sufficient information about cadets before making any decisions / commitments.

Information sessions start at 6.00pm and normally finish at 7.00pm and are held at Komiatum Barracks, 400 Shakespeare St, Mackay.

For administrative purposes we ask all interested parents / guardians to either phone or email us to confirm their attendance;

During the information session the recruiting officer will show a Powerpoint presentation that will answer the most common questions about Army Cadets and will detail the procedures and documentation required to enable an application to be processed. At the end of each session, staff will be available to answer sprecific questions not covered in the presentation.
